Representing Waters Upton, Great Bolas, Crudgington, Cold Hatton Heath, Meeson, Shray Hill, Longswood, Sleapford, Sytch Lane

Waters Upton Parish Council was formed under the boundary review and brought together Great Bolas and Crudgington with other local villages and hamlets around Waters Upton to create a new Parish Council.

It is situated on the northern boundary of Telford & Wrekin Council, has 464 (2006 figures) registered electors who have the opportunity to vote for six Parish Councillors to serve on the Parish Council and represent their views.

Councillor Baker Oliver, currently Chairman, has been a Councillor since the formation of this local Council and represents the Parish on a number of outside organisations to ensure that our local views are heard.

With a limited precept of £12,000 (2006/2007) the Parish Council has a healthy budget and an extensive asset base due to the successful Waters Upton Parish Centre.  The Parish Council has assets totally nearly £400,000.

The Parish Council employs a part-time Clerk, Katrina Baker, and two part-time Parish Wardens, Eddie and Chris.  The Council is keen to work in partnership with other agencies and authorities as it sees this as a way of achieving an enhanced service and better facilities for the community it represents.
